FOOTPRINTS FOUNDATION
Footprints-Foundation.org is a Florida-based 501(c) (3) based in Coral Gables, Florida whose local and global mission is to reduce maternal and infant mortality and morbidity with culturally sensitive evidence based training of doctors, nurses, midwives, and traditional birth attendants in Jamaica and D.R.Congo.
We also provide clean birthing kits to traditional birthing attendants working in D.R. Congo and the Cameroon.
We have also joined the fight against Female Genital Mutilation.

At Desert Sage Soy Candles we are dedicated to making this world a better place. That is why we donate 15 percent of the proceeds from the sale of every candle to Footprints Foundation.

SAVE A LIFE
Around the world, one woman dies every 90 seconds in pregnancy or childbirth — that’s more than 350,000 women every year from complication of pregnancy.
Giving birth is especially risky in Southern Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, where most women deliver without skilled care.
Almost 3 million of all the babies who die each year can be saved with low-tech, low-cost care.
The vast majority of these deaths are preventable.
EVERY DAY APPROXIMATELY 500 GIRLS AND WOMEN WORLDWIDE DIE FROM THE CONSEQUENCES OF FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION.
