Story telling and Grief;Exploring the Complexities of Grief.

Dinkinish O’Connor is an award-winning poet, writer, editor, and educator. With more than 25 years in publishing, her career has spanned both journalism and the literary arts. She has written for The New York Times, Bon Appétit, EBONY, The Miami Herald, The Miami Times among several other publications. Her Substack publication– “Sipping Lovely” explores the complexities of grief and coping through topical social issues. Beautiful and experimental with its languaging and storytelling style, Dinkinish uses memoir and essay to share what it means to be a black woman, the daughter of immigrants, and a carrier of the ink, all while being over three million years old.

”Love this! Great, natural conversation. I feel so welcomed to your kitchen table. Your guest certainly has a way with words. I will have to look up her work. I look forward to upcoming presentations and I’ll certainly join in a non-alcoholic drink at the kitchen table”.

Maxine Plummer.
